Roulette Odds Discovered
This section can be kept very short:
Depending on what kind of roulette table you are playing, the house either has an edge of 2.63% or 5.26%. Why is that, you ask? Because European Roulette only has one 0, which means that the edge of the casino is 2.63%, while American Roulette tables have two 0s (0 and 00), which gives the casino an edge of 5.26%.
You might ask yourself if it matters what kind of bet you place? Well, it really doesn't. The house always has the same edge. The only difference is the type of risks you are taking. When you place bets on red or black or any other similar bet, you are likely to win every 2nd time, while you are only "supposed" to win 1 out of 37 times when betting on a number. Therefore, the swings can be much greater when betting on numbers. But, swings can obviously go both ways, which means that you can win a ton of money by just betting numbers, but you can obviously just as quickly lose a ton of money when betting on numbers.
I guess that your favorite bet depends on your risk tolerance. So, this is something you have to figure out for yourself and then go with what you have decided. You can be assured however that you are not giving the casino an extra edge, no matter what you decide to do ultimately.
